FORTY International School Brunei (ISB) students yesterday learnt about the importance of eating healthy and exercising during the Happy Seeds programme at Fitness Zone and The Energy Kitchen in Kiulap.

The batch was the first of 87 students to take part in the two-day health education progamme aimed at inculcating healthy habits among schoolchildren to eat right and exercise daily.

Split into two group, the children got involved in a fun and easy workout at the Fitness Zone basketball court with the support of Shooting Stars, while the remaining students headed to The Energy Kitchen to learn about eating right. They also learnt about pizza making and watched a shot clip on how food can affect the body and mind.

Fitness Zone in-house nutritionist Alexandra Da Silva, who designed the Happy Seeds programme for children, said, “Like any other mother, I hope to have my daughter grow up in a better world, and because this better world starts with each one of us, we should teach them to live and stay healthy from an early age.”
