THE Informative Community Programme came to a close yesterday at the Information Department, Old Airport.
The programme, themed ‘Cultivating an Informative Society’, was organised by the Information Department under the Prime Minister’s Office.
The guest of honour at the event was Awang Mawardi bin Haji Mohammad, the Acting Director of the Information.
The event began with the recitation of the Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat, followed by a closing remark by Awang Haji Emran bin Haji Sabtu, the Penghulu of Mukim Bokok.
The Penghulu hoped that the Informative Community Programme will be developed further and become a regularly conducted programme within the country.
A certificate presentation was then held for the 87 participants from Mukim Amo and Mukim Bokok of Temburong District.
Earlier in the day, the participants conducted a visit as part of the programme to Nikmat Rose Storage Company in Kampong Mulaut as well as Riza Group’s Poultry Company in Bebatik Kulapis.
The visit was conducted as part of the Informative Community Programme that began on December 1 in Temburong’s Mukim Bokok Community Hall. The visit was aimed at creating awareness on the One Village One Product in the Brunei-Muara District.
