INDONESIAN President Joko Widodo and his spouse, Datin Ibu Iriana Widodo, yesterday left the Sultanate following a two-day state visit, as they made their way to the next destination – The Philippines.
Earlier in the day, the president attended a special gathering at the Indonesian Embassy, where he met with the Indonesian community residing in Brunei.
The president and his wife arrived at the Villamor Airbase in Pasay City, Philippines yesterday – the last stop of his five-day introductory visit.
Minister of Education Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia (Dr) Hj Awg Abu Bakar bin Hj Apong, RBAF Commander Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, RBPF Commissioner Dato Paduka Seri Bahrin bin Mohd Noor and Indonesian Embassy officials bade the president and his wife farewell at the Brunei International Airport.
