THE 59th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Indian Association BSB was held on January 11 at the Sultan Omar ‘Ali Saiffuddien College’s (SOASC) auditorium. It was attended by nearly 100 members.
The president of the association, Dr A Sundrapandi, in his keynote and welco-ming address expressed the vital importance of cooperation and understanding among Indians as well as highlighting the need for every Indian to progressively assist and contribute to enhance the image of the Indian community in Brunei Darussalam.
This was followed by the annual report submission by General Secretary N M Mubarak and Treasurer Bharathidasan who submitted the annual financial report, duly audited by honorary auditor Srinivasan.
The financial report was scrutinised and debated by the participants before it was passed by the AGM.
The election of new management committee was held by returning officer Madam Manik Jalihal, and 15 new committee members have subsequently been elected excluding the executive committee members. The total of 20 committee members will run the association till January 2016.
The AGM ended around 9.30pm after a buffet dinner for all the participants.
