SCB hosts corporate communications talk at UBD

STANDARD Chartered Bank (SCB) yesterday hosted a talk entitled ‘Corporate Communications – A Strategic Function’, held at the Inspiring Hall, Student Centre, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).
SCB’s South East Asia Head of Corporate and Business Communications, Raymond Francis conducted the talk, where he shared insights with the students on the role of the corporate communications department in an organisation.

Jennifer Kang, Head of Corporate Affairs and Marketing said, “We are very excited to work with UBD on this opportunity and trust that the students enjoyed the talk. Communications is crucial in any organisation and we hope that this presentation further strengthens the students’ understanding of its purpose.”
Raymond is currently in Brunei to host a special workshop for Small and Medium Entreprises (SMEs) under the series of Brunei Economic Development Board and Standard Chartered Bank SME workshops which was initiated in January 2012.
The workshop, entitled ‘Communication Strategies for SMEs’ will be held today at 8.30am, at the iCentre.
Through this free workshop, some of the insights that Raymond will share with SMEs include how best they can communicate effectively, how to develop their key messages and putting together a communications plan.
