Jigsaw Primary School students visit Brunei History Centre

SOME 80 students from Jigsaw Primary School, accompanied by five school teachers, made an educational tour to the Brunei History Centre in the capital yesterday.

The students were briefed on the history of the Sultanate by Pg Hajah Mahani binti Pg Haji Ahmad, History Officer of the Brunei History Centre. Afterwards, the visit continued with a story-telling session about Brunei’s History, the tale of Pulau Lumut Lunting.
Following that, the teachers and students were taken for a brief tour of the mini exhibition that showcased the replica of “Batu Tersilah” and other interesting tombstones. The visit concluded with a video presentation of Brunei’s historical documentary.
According to Cikgu Rosinah, one of the teachers from Jigsaw Primary School, “this educational trip aims to give exposure to the students about the importance of Brunei’s history through activities and story-telling, as well as to help foster the students’ interest in history”.
