THE 3rd National Sepak Takraw Team Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Foundation Cup, held in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam’s 29th National Day, is set to kick-off on March 8 at the Menglait Sports Complex, it was revealed at a team manager’s meeting last night.

Twenty teams will be competing in the tournament. Sengkurong will be represented by four teams, Laksamana two teams, Bipa three teams, Muara Spurs three teams, whilst MS ABDB will be entering eight teams.

A league format for the tournament has been proposed, whereby each team would play each other twice, with a potential grand prize of up to $500. Each game will consist of three sets, with a 3-0 victory equating to three points, whilst a 2-1 victory would only amount to two points.
