SUAMPRIPAD marks National Day

Patriotic fervour was in the air as students and teachers of Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Damit Girls Arabic Religious Secondary School (SUAMPRIPAD) held a celebration to mark Brunei Darussalam’s 29th National Day.
It began with a mass doa recital at the school assembly area, followed by a welcoming speech by the principal, Ustazah Hjh Haryati Hj Ahmad.
In her speech, she said that the event was aimed to promote love towards the country as well as to raise the sense of pride, nationalism and patriotism among its students who will become future leaders.
Marzeedah Awg Mohamad, a student from Year 10 Tuleeb, led the school in the reading of the National Day pledge.
The highlight of the celebration was a performance by some 200 students and teachers who marched around the school premises waving miniature flags.
They included the school’s senior officers, Year Nine and Year 10 students as well as members of the Red Crescent Society and girl guides who had participated in the recent National Day celebration.
The event concluded with the singing of the national anthem and the hoisting of the national flag.
