Muslimah Jame’ ‘Asr travel to Vietnam for goodwill visit

SOME 40 members of the Muslimah committee of Jame’ ‘Asr Hassanil Bolkiah led by Managing Director and group leader Dayang Zuriah Mohammed, left the country yesterday for Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam for a 6th Goodwill and Friendship Visit until March 4.
The visit is part of the activity of the committee to enhance closer ties with Muslimah friends in Vietnam as well as exchange views and gain knowledge.
Various activities will be held during the visit which include visiting places of interest namely Naimatul Islamiah at 360, Cach Mang Thang Tam and Noor Al-Islam at 39, Tran Quang Dieu.
The delegation will also have the opportunity to shop at the Russian market in Saigon Square Centre, Vi Anh shop, Tax Centre and An Dong Plaza.
On the second day, the delegation will visit Mekong River Delta, a port area and cruise by boat through Tien River to have a closer look at the islands: Long, Lan Qui, and Phuong. They will also visit the local coconut sugar factory and visit Qui Islet garden.
The highlight of the trip will be a visit to the Muslim Village (Duong Ba Trac) and Dong Du Mosque, which will be hosted by Imam Ajim.
Previously the delegation also made a similar visit to Malaysia. Also joining the delegation are Co-Advisor to the committee Hjh Fatimah Hj Ibrahim, Ustazah Hjh Norsinah Hj Hussin, Hjh Khalijah Haji Ali, Normah Hj Mustapa, Hjh Masain Hj Tuah and Fatimah Mohammad.
