UNIVERSITI Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA) recently hosted a knowledge forum known as Multaqa Usuluddin.
As the first in the series this year, the religious session attended by mainly the management, scholars and students of UNISSA, was facilitated by Dr Arman bin Hj Asmad, the Dean Faculty of Usuluddin.
It was chaired by Ustaz Hj Ahmad Abdussalam bin Hj Abd Rahman.
The forum primarily focused on the ‘hadith’ or the sayings of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh), and the veracity of various sources that includes preachers in Islamic history. Working papers were formally discussed, touching on the latest researches conducted on the five Usuluddin doctrines in connection with Aqidah, Da’wah, Tafsir and Hadith, among others.
Organised every semester, the event gave an opportunity to faculty academicians to contribute their skills and knowledge to the students as well as the community at large through discussions, especially on religious issues.
The forum was also a platform to guide and train undergraduates in presenting ideas and opinions to the public.
