Inmates celebrate National Day at Jerudong Prison

INMATES celebrated the momentous 29th National Day recently at the Jerudong Prisons Institute.

The chief guest was Acting Deputy Director of Prisons, Poh Eng Hua. The event was held to raise awareness on the true meaning of independence, its aspiration and to instil a sense of love towards the religion and people.

It gave an opportunity to the inmates to experience the joy and happiness of the National Day and nurture the spirit of patriotism.

Patriotic songs were sung by the inmates and prizes were presented to inmates who excelled in the final year assessment for religious knowledge.
