Presentation of project proposals at eG.InC workshop

THE second workshop of the e-Government Innovation Centre (eG.InC) of UBD’s for Senior Executive e-Government Course (SEEC) and Middle Executive e-Government (MEEC) was held yesterday at the Central Lecture Theatre, ILIA Building, Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).

Among those in attendance were Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries, senior and other government officials from various ministries as well as participants from previous training programmes organised by eG.InC.

At the workshop, 24 participants comprising senior and middle executives from various ministries presented their group project proposals, which included topics on Smart Health, Enhan-cing e-Darussalam, Enhancing Data Accessibility (Exams and Scholarships) and Enhancing the utilisation of GEMS.

Project teams emphasised the inter-ministries collaboration in enhancing value-added services to cater for stakeholders, placing emphasis on citizens in particular.

The scope and contents of their projects were fine-tuned to meet stakeholders’ requirements and teams are expected to elaborate their project at upcoming final workshop and produce practical and concrete results needed to realise the government innovation under the ever-changing ICT environment.

Final deliverables will be considered to formulate policy, practices, manual and guideline associated with e-Government initiatives in the near future.
