MoHA representatives attend regional conference in Thailand

THREE representatives from the Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) left the Sultanate for Chiang Mai, Thailand, on Sunday to attend the second Asian Conference of Correctional Facilities Architects and Planners.

The theme for this year’s conference is ‘Sustainable Design for Sustainable Life’, which is geared towards promoting environmental awareness with regards to global warming; providing appropriate programmes and activities for stakeholders; and securing public safety.

The aims of the conference are to improve and develop upon architectural and structural designs of facilities located in participating countries.

The MoHA representatives include Senior Engineering Officer, Awang Musa bin Bagol; Chief Officer, Awang Nordin bin Haji Mohamad Hamidon; and Awang Salleh bin Haji Hitam of the Prisons Department.
