4WDs tour Brunei to mark National Day

VARIOUS associations nationwide continued their National Day celebrations to instill the spirit of patriotism and appreciation towards the Sultanate.

In conjunction with the auspicious event, the ‘Persatuan Gabungan Berwawasan 4X4 Daerah’ held a 4-wheel drive convoy to the Belait District which was flagged off at the parking area of Jalan Bendahara opposite the Royal Regalia.

The event began with a recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa by Nor Hezri bin Haji Omar.

The drivers were then introduced to the guest of honour, Pengiran Abdul Rahman bin Pengiran Seri Indera Pengiran Haji Ismail, Chairman of the Municipal Department, Bandar Seri Begawan.

About 42 vehicles participated in the convoy including one from a neighbouring state. The police escorted the entourage from Bandar Seri Begawan to Tutong Town, passing through Seria and Tamu Lama, Tudung Saji for lunch.

The journey concluded at the Jerudong Park playground.
