Kiulap roundabout traffic lights will be operational soon

Traffic lights are currently being installed at the three-lane Kiulap roundabout in an effort to ensure smooth traffic flow and at the same time reduce the rate of accidents. They will be in operation soon.

Deputy Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Development Eddie Dato Paduka Hj Sunny (pic above) confirmed this in an interview on the sidelines of a cleaning campaign in Tungku Beach yesterday.

He explained, “The traffic light system will be similar to the ones at the Berakas and Beribi roundabouts. Road users in Brunei are already familiar with the traffic light system at the Berakas and Beribi roundabouts, so there will not be any problem for them to adapt to the traffic light system at the Kiulap roundabout, which is deigned for a three-lane roundabout.”
