Walkathon marks opening of OKBI Subok Primary School activities

The Orang Kaya Besar Imas (OKBI) Subok Brunei II Primary School drew the curtains for the school’s activities this year with a walkathon that took place at the Tasek Sarubing Recreational Park in Belimbing, Subok.

With the main objective being to answer the government’s call towards healthy living, the event was officiated by the Acting Director of Co-Curriculum Education, Pg Suhaimi Pg Hj Bakar.
The event began with a flag hoisting and singing of the national anthem followed with an aerobics session by teachers of the OKBI Subok Primary School.
This was then followed with the guest of honour officiating the start of the walkathon.

A lucky draw was also conducted to further enliven the event that is hoped to strengthen ties amongst the school members and villagers.
Also present were officers from the Department of Co-Curriculum Education and the executive committee members of the School’s Parents and Teachers Association.
Teachers, staff, students and parents as well as villagers of Kg Belimbing and Kg Subok also took part in the walkathon.
