RBPF hosts reception for Crown Prince’s 39th birthday

HRH Prince Deputy Inspector General of the Royal Brunei Police Force Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and HRH Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Haji Salleh Ab Rahaman consented to attend a high-tea reception yesterday hosted by officers of the RBPF on the occasion of HRH the Crown Prince’s 39th birthday.

Accompanying Their Royal Highnesses were HRH Prince ‘Abdul Malik, HRH Princess Hajah Masna and YAM Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz.

Also in attendance was Dato Paduka Hj Abdul Wahab bin Juned, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office.

Upon Their Royal Highnesses’ arrival at the Royal Berkshire Hall of the Royal Brunei Polo and Riding Club in Jerudong, they were welcomed by the Commissioner of RBPF, Pehin Orang Kaya Pendikar Alam Dato Paduka Seri Hj Hasrin bin Dato Paduka Hj Sabtu, along with other high-ranking police personnel and their spouses.

The event began with a group photo session with senior officers of the RBPF followed by HRH consenting to sign a Royal Parchment to commemorate the memorable event.

The highlight of the event yesterday was when the Deputy Inspector General of the RBPF proceded to the dining hall to cut the birthday cake and received a ‘pesambah’ featuring an antique pistol, presented by the Commissioner of RBPF.

Performances by the officers of the Royal Brunei Police Force were also seen to enliven the ceremony.

Before HRH’s departure, he had a chance to meet and greet officers of the RBPF.

HRH the Crown Prince was appointed the position as Deputy Inspector General of RBPF on May 5, 2005, and ever since his appointment, HRH often conducts working visits to RBPF to review and further deepen the roles and responsibilities played as the oldest law enforcement agency in the Sultanate.
