MoD celebrates team’s win in Brunei Regatta 2013

THE Ministry of Development (MoD) held a thanksgiving prayer and appreciation ceremony at the Centrepoint Hotel in Gadong yesterday to celebrate its regatta team’s glorious win in various categories at the recently concluded Brunei Regatta 2013.

The guest of honour was the Minister of Development, Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Suyoi bin Hj Osman.

The event began with a group photo session with the winners, followed by a recital of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Hj Tassan bin Hj Mohammad from MoD’s Housing Development Department.

The minister presented medals and certificates of appreciation to the victorious MoD team members who came in second place in the ‘Fibre Glass Boat Race for 12 Local Rowers’ and ‘Fibre Glass Boat Race for 20 Invitational Rowers’ categories as well as to team members who came third place in three other categories – the ‘Inter-Ministry Fibre Glass Boat Race for 12 Rowers’; ‘Fibre Glass Boat Race for 12 Invitational Rowers’ and ‘Inter-Ministry Fibre Glass Boat Race for 12 Rowers’.

Pg Hj Rosli bin Pg Hj Halus, the Team Manager of the MoD Regatta Team, also handed over the winning trophies from five categories to the Minister of Development.
