Fire victim receives $1,452 donation

A FIRE victim, Hj Roslie bin Hj Leece @ Hj Ali Leece, recently received a donation of $1,452 collected by the villagers of Kampong Batong in a presentation held at the residence of the Village Head, Hj Saban bin Hj Lamat.

Presenting the donation was the Penghulu of Mukim Pengkalan Batu, Hj Tahir bin Hj Tarip.

Hj Saban said that the contribution was to help ease the burden of those affected by the fire on December 21 last year.

The cash donation will help pay for Hj Roslie’s daily necessities, while its collection also strengthened the bonds among the villagers of Kg Batong.
