Religious talk to mark Maulud Nabi

SOME 60 male and female members of the Federation of Brunei Malay Entrepreneurs attended a religious gathering to mark Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) birthday anniversary at the Islamic Dakwah Centre in Kg Pulaie.

Present at the event was its president, Dr Haji Abdul Latif bin Chuchu. The event began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah led by Cikgu Haji Mohammad bin Mokti, followed by a poetry recital by Abd Rahman bin Haji Yusof.

In a welcoming address by Pengiran Haji Seruji bin Pengiran Haji Damit, the Deputy President of Social and Welfare, who is also the chairman of the event, urged the members to lead by example and avoid extremism which could cause instability in the country.

The ceremony was enlivened with a Nasyid performance and a religious talk by Ustaz Mohd Zafreen bin Mohd Said from the Islamic Dakwah Centre.
