Sengkurong raises flag, a symbol of pride

MUKIM Sengkurong yesterday held a flag hoisting ceremony in conjunction with the upcoming 29th National Day to show the spirit of nationalism and patriotism. It was held at the mukim’s Community Hall.

The chief guest was Dato Paduka Haji Puasa bin Orang Kaya Seri Pahlawan Tudin, Advisor of the Mukim Sengkurong Consultative Council.

Flag hoisting by Sayyidina Hussain Secondary School students

Also present were committee members, Muslimah committee members and villagers.

The ceremony saw the handing over of the national flag to the team leader of Sayyidina Hussain Secondary School.

This was followed by the singing of the national anthem and hoisting of the flag led by the chief guest.
