More than 600 miniature flags were distributed to students of Pengiran Setia Jaya Pengiran Abdul Momin Primary School (SR PSJ Pg Abdul Momin), Kampung Pandan Lima during the ‘Distribution of Miniature Flags to Primary, Lower Secondary and Religious Schools Ceremony’ in conjunction with the 29th National Day celebration.

The guest of honour who officiated the distribution of the flags was the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, Dato Paduka Awg Hj Mohd Hamid bin Hj Mohd Jaafar.

The ceremony began with the raising of the flag accompanied by the singing of the National Anthem by the students followed by the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah and a Doa Selamat.

After the distribution of the flags, the guest of honour toured some of the classrooms displaying the miniature flags.

The Distribution of Miniature Flags to Primary, Lower Secondary and Religious Schools Ceremony was simultaneously held in all districts with more than 31,000 flags distributed to all schools in the country.

The aim of the event was to instil the spirit of patriotism and love for the national flag, to respect and protect the symbol of the country, as well as to instil pride among the students in commemorating the 29th National Day.
