Elizabeth Olsen confirms Godzilla role
ELIZABETH Olsen has confirmed she is to star in the new ‘Godzilla’ film and has promised that the movie will return to its’ Japanese roots.
The 23-year-old actress has signed up for the Warner Bros’ reboot of the monster franchise and she has promised fans the film will be returning to its’ original dark Japanese roots as opposed to the 1998 film which starred Matthew Broderick.
Elizabeth revealed she is going to be in the movie at the BAFTA Awards at London’s Royal Opera House on Sunday night.
When quizzed on whether she had been cast and asked and how the new movie will differ from the last one, she told BANG Showbiz: “It’s definitely going to be different. It’s not light-hearted fare. It’s going back to its roots and its core – the reason why the Japanese made it, kind of.”
Elizabeth – the younger sister of actresses and fashion designers Mary-Kate Olsen and Ashley Olsen – was thrilled to be at the BAFTAs and in the UK capital for such a special night. BANG!
