Cee Lo Green sued by concert promoter

CEE Lo Green and his representatives have been accused of conspiring to cheat Cierra Management Group out of US$243,000 after allegedly securing a deal for two Christmas concerts before pulling out.

According to the lawsuit obtained by TMZ, the ‘Forget You’ hitmaker’s team approached Cierra in November 2011 with a proposition for a ‘12 Days Of Christmas’ tour but Cierra couldn’t afford the US$100,000 per concert upfront fee.

After some negotiations, they agreed on two gigs which Cee Lo did not end up playing.

The suit claims it was all “a scheme designed to finagle funding capital for concerts they knew would not manifest”.

Cee Lo and fellow ‘Voice’ mentor Christina Aguilera have been replaced by Usher and Shakira after Christina decided to leave to spend time touring and promoting her album ‘Lotus’ while Cee Lo is working with NBC on a new show of his own.

However, they will both return for season five. BANG!
