Religious schools carry out action study to improve teaching quality

AN ACTION study on religious schools for 2013 was carried out yesterday at Beribi Religious School, Brunei III aimed at empowering Islamic education in line with the current educational development and to teach educators to change their teaching practice in accordance with the present students’ development.
It was also to assist teachers to improve their quality of teaching and learning in classroom and to seek ways for more effective approach, methods and techniques of teaching.
It involved a sharing session from the Division Head Level of the Islamic Education Institute, Assistant Islamic Education Officer and extended to principals and education officers that were optimised in early January.
Every school needs to implement such study within three months and is urged to produce at least three action studies within a year.
The Islamic Education Institute has placed such action study as their annual strategic plan for every school and an effort to attain the department’s strategic plan.
