RBLF half marathon champions

THE Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held it’s annual Half Marathon Competition at the Taman Mini Perayaan Kampong Parit, Mukim Pangkalan Batu, according to a press release yesterday.

The competition was participated by the Ministry of Defence (Mindef), the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), the Royal Brunei Airforce (RBAirF), the RBAF Training Institute (TI RBAF) and the Special Forces Regiment (RPK).

The Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Brunei Fire and Rescue Department and the Brunei Prison Department also took part in the competition.

The categories were divided into the 21km Group Category, the 21km Open Category and the 10km Open Category.

All the categories started off and finished at the Taman Mini Perayaan Kampong Parit. The event started at 6.30am and ended with a prize-giving ceremony.

The competition became a very memorable and successful occasion for the Royal Brunei Land Force as they not only won the Half Marathon Trophy, they also won the Group Event, and ranked 15 of their runners in the top 20 for the 21km Open Category.

On hand to give out the medals was the guest-of-honour, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Commander of RBAF.
