KUPU SB organises ‘Mudawalah Ilmiyyah’

The Syariah Faculty of the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB) held the ‘Mudawalah Ilmiyyah (Knowledge Discourse)’ for the second time located at the State Mufti Department Musolla, 3rd Floor of the Darul Ifta Building yesterday.
The objectives of the Knowledge Discourse ceremony were to give more exposure to the students of the role model of the Prophets (pbuh) and apply them to the participants, and giving awareness towards the communities of the greatness of the Prophets as well as shaping the characters based on them.

The guest of honour at the event was the Acting Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Ustaz Awg Hj Harun bin Junid.
The event began with a recital of Surah Al-Fatihah read by an Officer of KUPU SB, Hj Manan bin Hj Osman, followed by a welcoming remark by the chairman of the event and the Syariah Dean, Professor Dr Aly Mohamed Mansour Eliwa.
Four presenters and a chairperson presented a lecture on “Fiqh Sirah: Moral, Social and Political of the Prophets (SAW)”.
The presenters were Professor Dr Aly Mohamed Mansour Eliwa, Dr Aly Ghazy Tofaha (UNISSA), Associate Professor Madya Syed Ahmad bin Syed Hussain and Dr Hj Abd Rauf bin Amin, along with the chairperson, Hj Kassim bin Ismail, Assistant Lecturer of Syariah Faculty KUPU SB.
The event concluded with the souvenir presentation by the guest of honour to the presenters.
Around 200 participants from universities, secondary schools as well as officers from the State Mufti Department and Islamic Dakwah Centre were seen attending the ceremony.
The annual plans of the Knowledge Disclosure were discussed and confirmed at the 16th Syariah Faculty Meeting held last December 11, 2012 with an effort in disseminating knowledge and to open the Muslim’s mind especially the students in loving and glorifying Allah the Almighty and the Prophets (pbuh).
