Free cultural performance this CNY

MEMBERS of the public will soon have the opportunity to witness cultural performances called Cultures of China – Festival of Spring 2013 New Year Evening Gala, which is to be held on Wednesday, February 20 at the Jerudong Park Amphitheatre.

The cultural performances will be performed by well-known cultural troupe from Guangxi, China, who are expected to arrive in the country on February 19.

The event is organised by China Overseas Exchange Association, Guangxi Overseas Exchange Association, Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Brunei Darussalam and co-organised by the Hockian Association of Brunei Darussalam.

According to the embassy, the cultural performances are part of China’s effort to celebrate with the local community. The event is open and free to the public as well as invited guests. The public are requested to come early at 7pm as the seats are limited.

The event also aims to further enhance closer ties and cordial relationship of both countries especially in terms of business relationship and culture. Currently, relationship and cooperation in the field of education, trade and cultures have shown great development.

The cultural troupe is one of the well-known troupe in China which has received several awards in China. The one night cultural show is expected to attract a huge numbers of visitors and is free of charge. Similar performances have been held in the past two years.
