Speedo swimmers shine at Miri championship

THE Speedo Swimming Club Brunei bagged 4 gold, 17 silver and 8 bronze medals at the Miri Age Group Swimming Championship 2013 at the Miri Public Swimming Pool in Miri over the weekend.

In the boys under-8 category, Erricsson Bong Cheng Loong won silver in 100m freestyle, 50m freestyle and 50m breaststroke. He also won bronze in 50m backstroke and 4x50m freestyle relay.

Eric Bong Cheng Liang competed in the boys 9-10 category and won gold in 100m freestyle and 200m freestyle, silver in 100m backstroke, 100m butterfly and 50m butterfly. He also won a bronze medal in the 50m backstroke.

Alvin Bong Jia Lok also competed in the boys 9-10 category and won gold in 100m breaststroke and a silver medal in 50m breaststroke.

Also in 9-10 category, Mohd Danish won silver in 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke.

In the boys 11-12 category, Nur Haqiz won silver in 200m backstroke, 100m breaststroke and 50m backstroke. He also won bronze in 200IM and 50m backstroke.

In the girls 11-12 category, Jennifer Tan won silver in 50m breaststroke, 100m breaststroke and 200m breaststroke, and a bronze in 200m freestyle.

In the girls 13-14 category, Jocelyn won gold in 100m breaststroke, silver in 50m freestyle and 200m freestyle. She also won a bronze in 50m breaststroke.
