Gathering for Maulud Nabi celebration

THE Mosque’s Muslimah nationwide have organised a gathering in conjunction with the Maulud Nabi celebration.

The gathering will take place in all four districts following a proposed schedule.

The event is organised by the Muslimah Affairs Division of Mosque Affairs Department, Ministry of Religious Affairs, in collaboration with the Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Mateen Mosque Muslimah Committee, as well as Muslimah in RPN Kampong Bukit Beruang, Kampong Pekan Seria Mosque, and Masjid Utama Mohammad Salleh.

The aim of the gathering is to enliven the celebration of Maulud Nabi, participate in expanding Islamic teachings, enlighten and build up activities in mosques.

A gathering held yesterday at Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Mateen Mosque in Kampong Mulaut, was attended by Muslimah in the Brunei-Muara District.

The guest of honour was Datin Hjh Alimah binti Md Taib, the spouse of the Minister of Religious Affairs, Pengiran Dato Seri Setia Dr Haji Mohammad bin Pengiran Haji Abdul Rahman.

Also present were the spouse of the Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs, senior officers and staff of the ministry.

The event began with the recitation of verses of Al-Quran led by Hjh Alimah binti Hj Metassan, followed by a welcoming address by Ustazah Hjh Seimah binti Hj Abd Salam, Head of the Muslimah Affairs Division at the ministry, who is also the chairman of the ceremony.

The event was then followed by a special talk delivered by Ustaz Hj Anwari bin Hj Rawi of the Islamic Dakwah Centre and a Dikir Marhaban performance.

The next event is scheduled to be held at RPN of Kampong Bukit Beruang in Tutong tomorrow at 8am.
