ONLINE gamers who were invited by TelBru to experience their High Speed Broadband (HSBB) at the Times Square Shopping Centre over the weekend said they were impressed with the service and gave their nod to its powerful and reliable connection.

More than 20 avid gamers participated in the online gaming tournament, “The League of Legends” over the weekend at TelBru’s HSBB experience campaign, to demonstrate the reliability of the connection.

Zulhilmi Harun, Director of Integ Technology System (ITG), the official online game organiser at the event said they have received positive reviews from gamers in their experience with online gaming using the HSBB connection.

“We have been organising online gaming tournaments since 2011 and this by far, is one of the best we had,” he said.

Meanwhile, 22-year-old Nathan Kwang, one of the online gamers who had the opportunity to experience online gaming with the HSBB connection at the event said it was a wholly different experience. “We were used to having online gaming tournaments at cybercafés where the speed goes up to about 2.7 Mbps and 2.6 Mbps and can be really unstable for online gaming tournaments.

“For the last three days here, however, everyone experienced a very smooth connection and there were no ‘lag’ or ‘spike’ issues. It was well organised and our gameplay was smooth throughout the event,” he added.

He shared that connection issues may be unfair for players in online gaming tournaments and will hinder the opportunity for gamers to hone their skills. “In my opinion, this is one of the best gaming events ever organised here because the connection is not an issue. We all had fun. Everyone was happy that they could show off their gaming skills with the stable, fast and reliable connection.”
