18 teams for Brunei Shell takraw meet

FOUR contingents consisting of 18 teams will be competing in the3rd Brunei Shell Inter-team Takraw Championship from Feb 8-17.

The tournament draw, chaired by Pestabaru President, Pg Hj Ali Hassan bin Pg Hj Abbas was held yesterday at the Brunei Darussalam Sepak Takraw Association (Pestabaru) office at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium in Berakas.

The four contingents; Royal Brunei Armed Forces Sports Council (MSABDB) will be represented by nine temas, Sengkurong (four teams), Batong Imang Association, Pancur Murai (two teams) and Muara Spurs (three teams).

Technical Chief of Pestabaru, Haji Zaman bin Haji Samat said the tournament was held in conjunction with the 42nd anniversary of Pestabaru and to commemorate the 28th Brunei Darussalam National Day 2012.

The tournament is an annual project to enhance relations with Brunei Shell (BSP) staffs and Pestabaru.
