RTB, MoE & CfBT launch ‘Kids Time’
RADIO Television Brunei in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and CfBT Education Services will begin airing a new programme specifically for children starting January 31.
Parents and children can now tune in to an 11-episode series of child-focused radio programming entitled ‘Kids Time’ on Pilihan FM, 95.9 FM and 96.9 FM every Thursday and Saturday beginning 7.15am on January 31.

The show is being produced by a dedicated team of English teachers from CfBT Education Services Sdn Bhd and will be hosted by Pilihan FM DJ Conia Kaur.
Material has been recorded at various locations across Brunei and listeners will be treated to a distinctly Bruneian take on traditional stories and songs.
Co-creator Robert Vohan of CfBT Education Services and Sekolah Rendah Kiudang is excited about the potential of such a format. He feels that through this endeavour there will be an array of opportunities to develop the partnership between local media and classroom experiences.
Material for ‘Kids Time’ was created with English language acquisition in mind and children listening at home will already be familiar with the content as it is already featured in the English curriculum for young learners in Brunei Darussalam. Real-life scenarios are played out within the show enabling students to practise everyday English structures with siblings or parents from the comfort of a car or home. Families will find themselves singing along or actively listening without even realising that authentic learning is taking place.
