Stepfather faces abuse charge

A MAN accused of abusing his nine-year-old stepchild was once again brought before the courts yesterday for a further mention of the case.

Twenty-five year old Muhammad Amalulariffin bin Hj Hamdani is alleged to have abused his step child some time between noon to dusk on January 18, 2013 by clamping the child’s left ear with a C-clamp (normally used in woodwork) for about six hours at their home in Kg Rimba.

DPP Pg Hana Pg Hj Mohammad applied for the case to be further mentioned on another date for medical reports to be finalised on other alleged victims in the case such as the mother and brother of the victim.

The court fixed February 4, 2013 for further mention of the case.
