I need to work: Victoria Beckham

VICTORIA Beckham has revealed she suffers from low self-esteem and needs to work in order to prove to herself that she can be successful without the Spice Girls or husband David Beckham.

Although the former Spice Girls singer-turned-fashion designer and her soccer player husband may have millions in the bank and have been hugely successful in their respective fields, Victoria admits she suffers from low self-esteem and doubts her abilities.

The 38-year-old star – who was joined in the Spice Girls by Mel B, Emma Bunton, Geri Halliwell and Mel C – wanted to do well in the fashion industry to prove she could make it on her own.

In an interview in the new issue of Britain’s ELLE magazine, she said: “When I was on stage with the Spice Girls, I thought people were there to see the other four and not me. And when I go out with David and people take pictures, I think, ‘They’re here to take David’s picture. It was never my intention to prove anybody wrong. I wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. I don’t have to work, I need to work.”BANG!
