OGDC welcomes 60 students from Bunut primary school
THE Oil and Gas Discovery Centre (OGDC) yesterday welcomed 60 students from Bendahara Sakam Bunut Primary School who were accompanied by their teachers.
The visitors were greeted by Albert Chang, OGDC’s science communicator.
The aim of the visit was to expose the primary students to the basic methodology of the extraction of oil and gas in Brunei. The students and teachers had a guided tour in OGDC’s exhibition hall led by Albert Chang and OGDC’s science facilitators.
Apart from a tour of the oil and gas section, the students were also brought around OGDC’s theme exhibition, Measure Island, and had first-hand experience touring the fictional land of long lost civilisation, while simultaneously learning about proper measurement techniques among other things.
Md Arif bin Abdul Latif, a student of the school, commented that he had a lot of fun during the visit to OGDC and that he would love to come again and try out the new upcoming exhibitions.
The visit ended with a free play at OGDC’s traffic games park for both students and teachers.
