Donation for those affected by Bopha Typhoon, Gaza conflict

TO EASE the burden of residents of Gaza and those affected by the typhoon in the Philippines, the association of spouses of cabinet ministers, deputy ministers, permanent secretaries and deputy permanent secretaries presented donations to the Gaza and Bopha Victims Humanitarian Fund yesterday.

The presentation of $1,300 to both the funds took place at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports (MCYS). The Deputy Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Datin Paduka Hjh Adina binti Othman received the donations on behalf of the funds.

Presenting the donations on behalf of the association was the spouse of Minister of Health, Datin Paduka Hjh Salmah Hj Hanafiah, who in a remark disclosed that the donations were proceeds from activities conducted by the association.

Also present at the event were the Permanent Secretary at MCYS, Awg Hj Mohd Rozan Dato Paduka Hj Mohd Yunos, officers from the Community Development Department and members of the association.

To date, the Gaza Humanitarian Fund collected $13,080 while the Bopha Humanitarian Fund collected $11,400.
