204 trainees receive certificates during ceremony

A CERTIFICATE presentation ceremony for the Youth Development Programme and Short-Term Programme 2011-2012 Session took place yesterday at the Youth Development Centre, Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The guest of honour at the event was the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Laila Diraja Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Hazair bin Haji Abdullah.

The Acting Assistant Director of the Youth Development Centre, also in his capacity as the event chairman, Awg Haswandi bin Haji Osman said a total of 204 trainees received their certificates during the ceremony.
Of the total number, 55 trainees completed the Computer and Office Administration course; 31 trainees completed the Cooking and Catering course; 27 trainees completed the Cake and Pastry course; three trainees completed the Tailoring and Weaving course; six trainees completed the Hair and Beauty Salon course; six trainees completed the Welding and Fabrication course; 13 trainees completed the Vehicle Body Repair course; 12 trainees completed the Water Pipe Domestic course; while another seven trainees completed the Air-Condition course.
For the Short-Term Programme course, 29 trainees completed the Al-Hikmah Computer and Office Administration course; and 15 trainees completed the Al-Hikmah AutoCAD course.
Out of the 204 trainees, 107 have served with the government and private sectors; 10 are involved in business; 34 are furthering their studies and 57 are looking for employment. In addition, six of the trainees received awards for excellence in their respective courses.
