JULAZNI bin Hj Zaini inspired UNISSA ‘A’ to a 4-0 win over Brunei Polytechnic ‘B’ with his second hat-trick of the tournament at the Royal Brunei Recreation Club yesterday afternoon.
The striker carried his rich vein of goal scoring form over from the opening ceremony, where he bagged his first hat-trick, and put UNISSA ‘A’ in the driving seat with his solitary first half effort.
Julazni quickly added a second after the break, before substitute Muhd Hibatul Hakimi bin Hj Suhaili made his mark on the game to make it 3-0.
Julazni completed his hat-trick with a few minutes to spare, and consolidated his chances of taking home the golden boot award at the end of the tournament.
Despite the emphatic win, their first in the Uni Cup, UNISSA ‘A’ remained third best in Group A on six points, trailing both UBD ‘A’ and ITB ‘A’ who have recorded seven points from three games, with one game in hand.
The next games are set to be played on 25th January, with KUPUSB ‘A’ playing UNISSA ‘B’ at the Royal Brunei Recreation Club at 4pm, whilst ITB ‘B’ will be hoping to overcome UBD ‘B’ at 8pm at the Berakas Track and Field Complex.
