Accident at Kampong Beribi

TWO vehicles were involved in a collision along Jln Gadong in Kg Beribi during rush hour yesterday morning, the Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF) said.
In the incident that occurred around 9am, a saloon vehicle driven by a local man was reportedly heading towards Kg Jangsak when a van from the opposite lane lost control, veered off and hit the moving saloon car.

The trapped passenger in the van was success-fully removed from the damaged vehicle with the help of the Fire and Rescue Department. The driver of the saloon car and the van passenger sustained only minor injuries and were rushed to the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Saleha (RIPAS) Hospital
The driver of the van fortunately escaped unscathed in what appeared to be a horrific accident, which caused massive traffic congestion in the area. Personnel from the RBPF helped to alleviate the traffic.
