I WISH to bring to the attention of the relevant heads of section at the Ministry of Health (MoH) regarding their services rendered to the patients.
His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam has remarked that patients needed to be assisted fully and not to burden them while getting services at the MoH.
For two months in a row, I was made to travel to different clinics just to get the medications prescribed by my doctor.
The medications were ordered through ‘Bru-HIMS’ by my doctor well in advance.
Out of the four types of medicine prescribed, I got three types from the clinic I normally got to and was asked to take the other one from another clinic.
A month passed and I went to my normal clinic to get my prescriptions again, this time was worse.
I got only two types of medicine from my normal clinic and was asked to go to two different clinics to get the remaining two types.
It is really annoying and troublesome to travel to get my full prescription and worse still to have to queue up all over again at different clinics.
I call on the relevant heads of section at the MoH to do their jobs more effectively as they are all paid highly to serve the patients and not to burden them.
