THE case of nine Malaysians who allegedly held captive an 18-year-old boy was heard again yesterday where their lawyer asked for more time to make new representations.
Defence Counsel Shamila of Messrs Fathan, Rudi Lee and Associates represented 19-year-old Jason Walter Rocos anak Muda, 26-year-old Fam Fook Siong, 22-year-old Audrin Brandi anak Pasang, 21-year-old Johnny anak Sprie, 24-year-old Rubin anak Naning, 32-year-old Garry Chong Kah Yong, 21-year-old Duncan Lesle, 21-year-old Lee Teck Lung and 19-year-old Nickson Sim.
Magistrate Azrimah Rahman fixed March 2 for further mention of the case and extended all defendants’ bail.
Each of the defendants face a charge of wrongfully confining an 18-year-old boy at Bangunan Pg Hj Damit, Jalan Perindustrian Berakas on October 1, 2014. The charge carries a penalty of a jail term which may extend to three years and a fine. DPP Pg Suzana Pg Abas appeared for the Public Prosecutor.
