IITH sponsors bags, water for today’s Women’s Special Assembly

INSURANS Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd (IITH), a Takaful operator in Brunei Darussalam, held a sponsorship handover ceremony yesterday for the Women’s Special Assembly marking the celebration of Prophet Muhammad’s (pbuh) birth anniversary which is being held today at the Plenary Hall, International Convention Centre, Berakas.

The ceremony held at IITH Head Office in Kiulap saw the handing over of 4,500 woven bags and 4,500 bottles of mineral water for the Maulidur Rasul celebration.

Hajah Suzana binti Haji Mirasan, Assistant General Manager of Insurans Islam TAIB Holdings Sdn Bhd handed over the sponsor-ship items to Hajah Tutiaty binti Haji Abdul Wahab, Deputy Permanent Secretary (Management, Cooperatives and Industry) at the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO), in her capacity as the Joint Deputy Chairperson of the event.

Witnessing the ceremony were Ustazah Hajijah binti Haji Moktal, Acting Director of Islamic Studies, as Joint Deputy Chairperson; and Datin Hajah Siti Hajar binti Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohd Yusof, President of the Women’s Council of Brunei Darussalam as Co-Chairperson for the event. Senior officials of the PMO, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and IITH were also present.

The sponsorship was part of IITH’s corporate social responsibility, which believes such events benefit communities and allow for building closer ties with them.
