TEN aspiring young entrepreneurs from International Graduate Studies (IGS) College yesterday launched a five-day exhibition on Muslimah clothing at the Youth Centre in the capital.
The students, currently in their final year of a Diploma in Business & Finance, organised the event as part of their final year assignment.
Apart from promoting the culture of Muslim attire for women under the theme, “The Modern Muslimah: Journey To Modesty,” the event also aims to inculcate a spirit of entrepreneuralism among students and give them first-hand experience in event management.
Launched by IGS lecturer, Dr Malai Yunus bin Malai Yusuf, in an opening ceremony yesterday, the event boasts 10 indoor booths selling a variety of apparel, accessories and make-up as well as outdoor booths selling food and beverages from now until September 27.
The event runs from 10am to 10pm and is closed from 12pm-2pm on Friday.
Other activities throughout the event include colouring and cooking contests, a beauty workshop and a lucky draw.
