THE Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) recently received an unofficial visit from the Miri Industrial Training Institute, which was aimed at reciprocating IBTE’s previous visit on October 30, 2014.
The delegation, welcomed by Hajah Mariah binti Haji Abdul Manaf, Senior Education Officer (Technical) of the Institute of Brunei Technical Education, comprised 19 delegates headed by the Director of the Miri Industrial Training Institute, Puan Rosnah binti Muhammad Tahir.
A briefing was presented to the delegation on the functions of the IBTE and institutions under it. The event was then followed by a site visit to the Sultan Saiful Rijal Technical College (MTSSR) where the delegation was taken on a tour to various departments in the college, such as the Aircraft Department, Tourism Department and Hospitality Department.
Through such visits, both parties aim to strengthen their bonds, as well as to have constant mutual exchange of ideas in developing the technical and vocational education in a rapidly developing technological world.
