THE five-day annual induction progr-amme of the Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE), which began yesterday, serves to welcome 44 new teaching staff from seven technical and vocational institutions across the country.
Held at the institute’s headquarters in Gadong, participants of the programme comprised education and welfare officers, senior technical instructors and technical instructors, teachers and technical assistants from Sultan Saiful Rijal Technical College, Jefri Bolkiah Engineering College, Nakhoda Ragam Vocational School, Wasan Vocational School, Mechanical Training Centre and Business School.
Aside from welcoming the new teaching staff, the induction programme was also intended to give them a better understanding of IBTE’s policies and regulations.
It is hoped that through this programme, the newest addition to IBTE will have an opportunity to forge professional relationships with other staff members of IBTE, as well as others in the industry.
