HEWLETT-PACKARD, the world’s leading PC manufacturer yesterday introduced its latest IT products in hopes to further boost its presence in the country. The session was attended by some 60 people from the public and private sectors.
Christian Edmond Reyes, Category Director of Printing and Personal Systems for Asia Emerging Countries, in an interview highlighted, “The market in Brunei Darussalam is actually growing in the public and private sectors. We are the biggest IT company in the world and providing reliable PCs as well as military top of the range PC.”
Among the newest products on showcase are the HP Pro x2 612 G1 that comes with the sleek design and can be converted into a tablet, the HP Z1 G2 Workstation that provides innovative all-in-one workstation, the HP EliteBook 840 Notebook PC which is the industry’s leading ultrabook, HP Officejet Enterprise Colour MFP X585 series printers and others.
Christian Edmond Reyes in his presentation also revealed plans that HP will be separated into two new industry-leading public companies namely Hewlett-Packard Enterprise and HP Inc.
He explained Hewlett-Packard Enterprise will focus on next generation of technology infrastructure, software and services for the New Style of IT and building upon HP’s leading position in servers, storage, networking, converged systems, services and software as well as company’s Helion Cloud platform.
While HP Inc will be concentrating on being the leader in the personal systems and printing markets delivering innovation that will empower people to create, interact and inspire like never before.
He also outlined the compelling rationale for separation in three areas namely strategy, operations and finance.
He said, “Under strategy, we are sharper, stronger, more focused companies and better able to compete against a distinct set of competitors while in operational, we have improve alignment between rewards and results as well as simplified organisational structures. In term of financial, we manage to optimise the financial profiles of each company to enable distinct investment and growth opportunities.”
Another session to introduce the latest development and HP products will be held today for more than 60 invited guests.
