WITH the holiday season just around the corner and payday falling in just at the right time, the roads to Sg Tujoh saw slow traffic yesterday, with queues several kilometres-long starting just before the Rasau Bridge Toll Post and ending at the Sg Tujoh Control Post.
A Rasau Bridge Toll Post staff – who chose not to disclose his name – said that after years working at the post, this was a first time he witnessed queues that long.
“The queue started from the round-about which connects the end of the Seria-KB bypass with the road to Sungai Teraban and the exit to Kuala Belait, which then stretches past the toll post that I work in and straight to Sg Tujoh.”
However, the toll post operator also said that it didn’t last longer than an hour as the cars stopped coming in.
“It started at around 8am, but when we started to think that there would be more cars coming in to join the queue, it died down at around 9am.”
