A NEW ice-cream parlour, Hippo & Bees, has opened at the Food Arena in Seri QLap Mall, which offers affordable and healthy ice-cream that are sure to attract ice-cream lovers.
One of Hippo & Bees’ specialties is their use of honeycomb and mineral salts as their signature toppings to highlight the flavour of their premium soft ice-creams, which are specially imported from Italy.
Serving the best Korean-style organic honeycomb, Hippo & Bees’ soft ice-creams uses pure honey that are extracted from honeycomb imported from Australia, as well as mineral salts brought from Bario Highland, Sarawak.
Speaking to the Bulletin, Jaymee Lee from Marketing Department said that Hippo & Bees imports raw and unprocessed honeycomb, and the pure honey extracted from the crates are beneficial for one’s health.
While honey is used as a remedy for certain illnesses, it is also an added flavour to highlight the taste in foods and beverages, including ice-cream, she added.
“We notice that people are starting to be more aware of their diet intake, therefore, our ice-cream is a healthier option, as we use organic milk and very little sugar. We also offer a variety of choices of ice-creams for our customers,” Jaymee said.
She also mentioned that Hippo & Bees aims to create a positive vibe for customers so they are able to enjoy the authentic taste of their organic honeycomb ice-creams, as well as spend time at the parlour with their families and friends.
With a price range of $3 to $4, Hippo & Bees serves 16 types of flavours and toppings, including Affogato, Dark Knight, Honeycomb, Chilled Cheesecake, Black Forest, Popcorn, Marshmallow and Macaroons, which are all in-house productions.
