THE Embassy of Russia in Brunei held a high-tea reception on the occasion of the registration of a new Russian citizen recently born in Brunei.
Third Secretary of the Russian Embassy in Brunei, Nikita Ivanov and his wife, Marina Ivanova, recently became present of another baby girl, little Antonina Ivanova.
In his welcoming speech, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Brunei Darussalam, Victor A Seleznev, congratulated the family of the newborn and presented them with a birth certificate.
Various entertainments such as traditional Russian game and viewing of the Russian cartoons were organised for the children who came to the ceremony.
A photo exhibition depicting Russian children in folk costumes and children’s drawings were also showcased at the ceremony.
Among those who were present were officers from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (MoFAT), and representatives from other government ministries, members of the diplomatic corps, members of the Women’s Business Council, distinguished guests and Russian compatriots.
